PRESEASON READINESS

For the conclusion of the Health and Safety webinar series, USA Football will guide you in creating a practice checklist you can use throughout the season to help you create a safe physical, mental, and emotional environment for you, co-coaches, your players, and their families. In this session, Lauren Davenport and Andy Ryland will share a framework of recommendations and strategies to optimize your athletes' training experience, both before, during, and after practice. By implementing these key principles, you can guarantee your athletes’ success from the moment they set foot on the field until the moment they conclude their training. The presenters will share their experiences and resources in addition to a Q&A portion to address questions from coaches and league leaders relating to preseason readiness.

EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN

Ensuring the safety of athletes is the top priority for any league. The key to achieving this is staying prepared and protected against catastrophic events and injuries with a robust plan that covers all potential scenarios. In the second part of the Health and Safety webinar series, join USA Football to learn about Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), your playbook for protecting athletes on and off the football field. This webinar will focus on key components that should be incorporated into your EAP and the significance the EAP can play in safeguarding the well-being of your athletes and leagues. In this session, Dr. Stearns from the Korey Stringer Institute will share invaluable insights, examples, and resources on building, practicing, and implementing an Emergency Action Plan.

MENTAL WELLNESS WITH TRUE SPORT

As you gear up for the upcoming season, join USA Football and TrueSport as we tackle mental wellness challenges in youth athletes. This webinar will focus on delivering strategies and resources that support not only your athletes’ mental health on and off the field but YOUR mental wellness as a Coach. TrueSport's, Audrey Shaw, will discuss the concerns around athlete mental wellness and the significance your role as their coach and/or league leader can play in their mental fortitude both within the grounds of competition and in their personal lives. They will also share how you can take a step back and make sure that as a Coach, you are getting the mental support needed to be able to effectively coach. The presenters will share their experiences and resources from TrueSport in addition to a Q&A portion to address questions from attendees.

USA Football's League Excellence Program is a way for youth football organizations to earn recognition for their commitment to raising operational standards and providing a great environment for athletes and their families. Over 1,400 organizations were eligible in 2022. Make sure you’re a part of it this year!

The FDM on the Field Series focuses on the real-life application of the pillars of the Football Development Model. For this session, join leaders from youth leagues across the country as they discuss the benefits of offering multiple game types and how they have successfully been able to implement robust offerings in their communities. The panel will discuss their experiences and tips and tricks for implementing the Multiple Entry Points & Pathways pillar of the FDM. Leagues will share their experiences in addition to a Q&A portion to address questions from attendees.
